Jimmy (Chip) Kouri has become a regional education manager representing the Texas territory for Therafuse. Kouri has more than 18 years of experience in the industry as a stylist, salon owner and sales representative for manufacturers. In addition to conducting educational seminars for Therafuse, he will also train stylists and work with owners to increase revenue. “Chip’s broad experience will be a huge asset, and will greatly assist us in our continued growth and success,” says Therafuse CEO Van Stamey.
Anne Sempowski Ward has been appointed president and chief operating officer of Fashion Fair Cosmetics (fashionfair.com), a subsidiary of Johnson Publishing Co. and purportedly the world’s largest cosmetics and skincare company for women of color. Sempowski Ward is the former assistant vice president of African-American Marketing for the Coca-Cola Company, where she was responsible for implementing strategies to build market share with African-American consumers across all major Coca-Cola brands. She also worked in a similar capacity for Procter & Gamble, where she created the “Total You” beauty platform.
Additionally, Fashion Fair senior vice president J. Lance Clarke’s role has been expanded and Clarke will now also serve as director of global sales for the company.

Kyra Johnson has been appointed spa director of Blue Marble at the Hyatt Regency Mission Bay (missionbay.hyatt.com) in San Diego, after having opened and directed five successful spas within the Hyatt Pure American spa portfolio: Stillwater Spa in Toronto; Spa V in Miami Beach; Spa Avania in Scottsdale, AZ; Spa at the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay; and Spa Django at the Hyatt Regency Lost Pines in Austin, TX. Johnson also holds the title of corporate spa director for the company.
Blue Marble Spa has been developed as an environmentally friendly spa. Johnson’s goal is for the spa to impact visitors from around the world by providing education on achieving optimal health while reducing their ecological footprints.
Leslie Glover was recently appointed CEO of Aspen
Spa Management based in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Glover has worked for the management firm for seven years, in facets ranging from conceptual development and design to project coordination and operations and management. She’s also a frequent speaker at trade shows and a contributor to industry publications. Former president and CEO Raoul Andrews Sudre will continue to serve as the company’s senior advisor and will assume a new role as president of Aspen Resorts International, a wellness consulting firm for residential and resort developments.
